MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART, Chicago - Free admission for those with disabilities & their caregivers.

mcachicago.org

The Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA), located at 220 E. Chicago Avenue in Chicago, IL, provides free admission every day for those with disabilities and their caregivers. There is no need to preregister online. Simply walk in and request “accessibility tickets” from staff at the admissions desk.

Accessibility tickets are meant for one caregiver and one care recipient. Additional friends or family members in the group may purchase tickets. If finances are a concern, you can also pay what you can. MCA’s “pay-what-you-can policy” comes from the belief that art should be accessible to all.

Here are other free admission opportunities:

  • Illinois residents receive free admission on Tuesdays.
  • There is no charge for anyone 18 years old and under.
  • Illinois primary and secondary teachers can visit MCA for free. Please present a valid educator’s ID at the admissions desk.
  • No admission fee for active members of the military and veterans, police, and fire departments. Please bring ID.
  • Membership holders of the Museum of Contemporary Art do not pay for visits.

There may also be other offers or discounts available through partnerships with corporations, universities, and other organizations. Call MCA at 312-280-2660 or email info@mcachicago.org to find out more. For the box office, call 312-397-4010.
